The Easy Gripper product range is designed to help tyre professionals in a multitude of conditions and situations. Implementing the Easy Gripper makes tyre handling faster and safer, while preventing damage to tyres, rims and equipment.

Installed on a truck crane, the Easy Gripper offers the optimal flexibility allowing the driver to be able to both transport and mount the big OTR or AGRO tyres and wheels – and even single handedly.

With the Gripper very risky and time-consuming handling situations become safe and easy.

Capability

With a gripping range of Ø850 – 2.400 mm (34 – 94”) and a lifting capacity of 2 ton (4.400 lbs) at a CoG of 550 mm (22”), the Gripper can handle tyres up to 37.25R35. When handling full wheel assemblies as inside duals, the Gripper handles up to 24.00R35 tyres.

If you don’t handle wheel assemblies bigger than 1 ton (2.200 lbs) and a gripping range of Ø700 – 2.160 mm (28 – 85”) , you can choose a configuration with our Easy Gripper 2160, where we on request also can extend the gripping diameter to Ø2.400 mm (94”) to handle even the biggest AGRO tyres.

The Easy Gripper Crane is designed for use with knuckle boom cranes, workshop cranes and overhead cranes and offers the optimal flexibility allowing the operator to be able to both transport and mount AGRO and OTR tyres and wheels – even single-handedly.

With a gripping range of Ø1.200 – 2.395 mm (47 – 94”) and a lifting capacity of 1.200 kg (2.645 lbs), the Easy Gripper Crane is developed for easy handling of AGRO and OTR tyres.

Tyre handling in any environment

The Easy Gripper Crane makes it easy to handle a tyre or wheel and place it on e.g. a truck bed, in a storage rack, or mount/demount it on a vehicle.

The Easy Gripper Crane is especially suitable for on-site tyre handling in difficult terrain where utilization of the long reach of the knuckle boom crane is imperative.

The Easy Gripper Crane can be configured in different ways. The Easy Gripper Crane is designed for use with knuckle boom cranes, workshop cranes and overhead cranes and can be delivered in two versions:

Technical Requirements

Hydraulic – 1 single or double acting hydraulic valve at the end of the crane boom

Connection options

If the crane has 2 hydraulic circuits at the end of the crane boom these can be connect directly to the respective cylinders. This gives the operator the possibility to operate both the tilt and the clamping functions directly from the remote control of the crane.
If the crane has 1 hydraulic circuit at the end of the crane boom, the circuit can be connected to a directional valve mounted on the Easy Gripper Crane. This gives the operator the possibility to operate the tilt function directly from the remote control of the crane. When the operator wants to use the clamping function, he will have to use the same function on the remote control and at the same time activate the spring-loaded directional valve. In this way we will have our usual safety precaution of a two-hand operation for open/close build-in the way to operate the crane.
If no hydraulic circuits are available at the end of the crane boom you can use an air hydraulic pump to operate the two functions. But you have to make sure that this pump is able to deliver sufficient oil flow to give a decent cycle time for the two hydraulic functions.

Easy Gripper

Capability

With a gripping range of Ø850 – 2.400 mm (34 – 94”) and a lifting capacity of 2 ton (4.400 lbs) at a CoG of 550 mm (22”), the Easy Gripper 2400-2T can handle tyres up to 37.25R35. When handling full wheel assemblies as inside duals, the Gripper handles up to 24.00R35 tyres.

Use on Forklifts, Front loaders, Telehandlers and Truck cranes

The Easy Gripper 2400-2T with the 90° tilt module, is ideal for use on forklifts.

The Easy Gripper 2400-2T Compact without the tilt module is a good choice on front loaders and telehandlers, if the carrier can provide sufficient tilt.

By use of our Crane Module the Easy Gripper 2400-2T Compact also fit with almost any truck crane system.

Quick Shift Module
